BoDean’s Cone Company was established in February of 2000 by Bo and Dean Jacobson. Noting that the specialty cone industry had been monopolized by one major baking vendor, the Jacobson’s built a state-of-the-art facility in Le Mars, Iowa, and began aggressively marketing their cone products to the dairy industry. The BoDean’s 75,000 square foot, food grade processing facility produces more than 500 million cones and 250 million sleeves annually, marketing to dairy clients across the United States and throughout the world.

Building on the success of their specialty cone products, the Jacobson’s established
BoDean’s Wafer Company
in 2006. With the completion of a new 92,000 square foot, food grade processing facility, the Jacobson’s took on an industry giant that had enjoyed a virtual monopoly in the manufacture of wafers for ice cream sandwiches. Presently, the wafer plant has the capacity to annually produce more than 1.5 billion wafers, and with planned future expansion, will have the ability to add additional shifts and baking ovens.
